I have been a runner for 15 years now. For the last 4 years I have been a member of the Hanson’s-Brooks Distance Project and in June of 2006 I opened Hanson’s Coaching Services, LLC as a resource to help everyone reach their running goals. Take a look at some my resume highlights:
Education:
· American College of Sports Medicine, Certified Exercise Specialist, 2006
· M.S., Exercise Science, 2006 Oakland University, Rochester Hills, Michigan
· B.A.A., Health Science and Promotion, 2004 Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan
Professional:
· Contributor to Michigan Sports and Fitness Magazine
· Exercise Physiologist for William Beaumont Hospital (voted a top 100 hospital in the United States)
· Developed an exercise physiology class for Oakland University, entitled: Physiological Considerations of Marathon Training
Athletic:
· Professional runner for 4 years
· 11th place 2006 Boston Marathon (2:15:23)
· Olympic Trials Qualifier in the marathon
· 9th place 2006 US Half Marathon Championships (1:04:05)
· 8th place 2008 US 15k Championships (45:33)
